Navy defuses 02 hand grenades left behind at Polpithigama

The Navy, on 13^th January 2020, managed to defuse 02 hand grenades left behind at Indagolla Yaya 07 in Polpithigama.

Being a key player in preservation of national defence, the Navy sprang into action to neutralize these 02 hand grenades, upon information disseminated by the Polpithigama Police.

The Polpithigama Police is conducting further investigation into the incident. Meanwhile, the Navy Bomb Disposal Unit is ever alert to respond to similar incidents reported to the Navy.
