Navy recovers 08 unauthorized fishing nets in Kaththankudi lagoon area

The Navy recovered 08 unauthorized fishing nets in the lagoon area of Kaththankudi today (07th January 2020).

The Navy is conducting regular operations for the protection of ocean's resources and during similar operation the Navy found these unauthorized fishing nets in the lagoon area of Kaththankudi.

The seized fishing nets will be handed over to the Assistant Directorate of Fisheries of Batticaloa for further investigation.
