Navy assists to apprehend two persons with Kerala cannabis

The Navy in coordination with the Police apprehended two persons with Kerala cannabis in Kathiraweli area, Thoppur on 03^rd January 2020.

Accordingly, the Navy in coordination with SL Police conducted a raid in Kathiraweli area, Thoppur and apprehended two persons with about 300g of Kerala cannabis. The apprehension was made when the suspects were attempting to sell cannabis. The suspects are residents of Thoppur and Thanganagar areas, aged 21 and 31.

The apprehended suspects along with seized Kerala cannabis were handed over the Thoppur Police for onward investigation. The Navy is conducting continuous operations to nab drug traffickers as well as persons for possessing such substances.
