Captain (ASW) Kanchana Banagoda assumes command of SLNS Sayurala

Captain (ASW) Kanchana Banagoda assumed command of SLNS Sayurala, one of the Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessels (AOPVs) belonging to the Sri Lanka Navy on 03^rd January 2020.

The Acting Commanding Officer of the vessel, Commander (G) Thushara Mahesh who was also the Executive Officer of SLNS Sayurala, formally handed over the duties to the ship’s new Commanding Officer at the Colombo harbour premises. The formal proceedings included Captain’s Division and the address of ship’s company.
