Navy renders assistance to clean Ibbankatuwa Tank

The Navy, since 24^th December, has been rendering assistance to remove the remains collected at the Ibbankatuwa Tank after floods.

Following the adverse weather prevailed in the island over the past few days, a sluice gate of Ibbankatuwa Reservoir had been blocked and two big pipes carrying water to the treatment plant had been obstructed with remains.

Responding to this situation, a team of Navy divers are now working industriously to remove the collected remains to help commence the usual run of the reservoir.
