Navy assists to rescue four persons displaced by floods

SL Navy rescued four(04) persons who had displaced by the overflowing of Vila Oya in Athimale, on 21^st December 2019.

Accordingly, these persons who had entangled into a maize chena in Yala National Park owing to the floods sprang in Vila Oya by the constant rainfall to Athimale area for two days, were safely rescued by the Navy.

As per the directives of the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, Navy rescue and relief teams have been kept standby in all Naval areas to assist the needy people affected by the inclement weather.
