Commander Sunanda Appuhamy takes over command of SLNS Udara

Commander Sunanda Appuhamy assumed duties as the new Commanding Officer of the Sri Lanka Navy’s Fast Gun Boat SLNS Udara today (20^th January).

The command of the ship was officially handed over to the new Commanding Officer by the former Commanding Officer Commander Nalin Gonagala at the SLNS Uththara jettey in Kankasanthurai.

Representing the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet, Deputy Area Commander (North), Commodore Senaka Senaviratne was also present on the occasion. With the inspection of divisions by the new Commanding Officer Handing over-Taking over process was concluded.
