SLNS Ruhuna proudly celebrates its 48th anniversary
SLNS Ruhuna belonging to the Southern Naval Command proudly celebrated its 48th anniversary on 18th December 2019.
The anniversary celebrations had been organized on a grand note by the Commanding Officer and the ship’s company, giving prominence to religious events. Accordingly, Buddhist religious activities were conducted at Wella Bodhiy temple in Tangalle, Catholic mass at St. Francis Church and Islam religious prayers at Masjid Mohideen Jumma mosque. Further, sports events were held with the participation of other naval bases in Southern Naval Command, at the Tangalle Boys College ground.
The series of anniversary celebrations came to a close with the grand musical show staged on the 18th evening.
