Two (02) suspects held with approximately 2.5kg of Kerala Cannabis

The Navy and the Police held 02 suspects with Kerala Cannabis at Allaippidi in Kayts on 18^th December 2019.

The Navy, in coordination with the police, conducted another raid at Allaippidi in Kayts with the intention of curbing the drug menace. During this raid, 02 persons travelling by a motorbike have been searched and approximately 2.5kg of Kerala Cannabis has been found in their possession. Accordingly, the 02 suspects were taken into custody.

The suspects who are residents of Jaffna, aged 24, were transferring Kerala Cannabis when they were apprehended. The Kayts Police is conducting further investigation into the incident.
