SL Navy organizes series of social responsibility programmes in view of her proud 69th Anniversary
Sri Lanka Navy, the golden fence round the country, will be celebrating its 69th proud anniversary on 9th December 2019. A number of social responsibility events have been organized to celebrate the momentous occasion.
Several programmes have been organized in Northern and Eastern Naval Commands in line with the Navy Day celebrations. Accordingly, the children's home at Convert Our Lady of Lanka in Achchuweli, Jaffna was cleaned by the Naval personnel, on 7th December.
Further, a blood donation camp was carried out at the Navy General Hospital (East) in Trincomalee on the 07th December which was attended by many naval personnel voluntarily.
Special Buddha Poojas with offerings to Maha Sangha have been scheduled to be conducted at the Temple of Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa) on 8 and 9 December, under the patronage of the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva.
