Philanthropic efforts organized in view of the 69th Anniversary of Sri Lanka Navy
A number of philanthropic and religious events have organized to celebrate the momentous occasion of the 69th anniversary of Sri Lanka Navy.
In view of the 69th anniversary, the Sri Lanka Navy took steps to refurbish and renovate the aged buildings of the National institute of Mental health, Mulleriyawa on the 03rd and 04th December, which was highly commended by the hospital’s staff.
Further, a blood donation camp was carried out at the Naval hospital (North Central Command) on the 04th December which was attended by many naval personnel voluntarily. The Teaching Hospital – Anuradhapura and Base Hospitals of Thambuththegama and Padaviya rendered assistance to make the event a success.
Simultaneously, another blood donation camp was conducted at the auditorium of the Naval Establishment ‘Nipuna’ in Boossa. The doctors and staff of the Teaching Hospital – Karapitiya, the staff of the National Blood Transfusion Centre and the Medical staff of the Sri Lanka Navy extended their fullest support in making this event an astounding success.
The celebrations of the 69th anniversary of Sri Lanka Navy is set to conclude with a final religious event at Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya.
