Military Delegation of the People’s Liberation Army, visit the Commander of the Navy

A Military delegation of the People’s Liberation Army, visited the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva at the Naval Headquarters today on the 03^rd December.

The delegation consisting of the Deputy Political Commisar of the National Defence University of China Major General Zhu Guobiao and other key officials, visited the as a Naval Headquarters as a part of the official visit to Sri Lanka and on completion, met the Commander of the Navy and carried out a bilateral discussion and exchange of views.

Subsequently, the delegation was briefed by Commander of the Navy, on the role played by the Main Operations Centre as well as the responsibilities generally entrusted to Sri Lanka Navy. This occasion was also attended by Director General Operations, Rear Admiral Nandana Jayarathna and a number of senior officers. An exchange of mementos between the Commander of the Navy and the Delegation marked the conclusion of the visit.
