Suspect transporting military camouflage uniforms arrested
Sri Lanka Navy and Wattala Police have apprehended one person transporting a stock of military camouflage t shirts in Wattala area on 03rd December.
Keeping with Sri Lanka Navy’s actions to ensure the national security along with Sri Lanka Police, a roadblock was set up in Wattala area on 03rd December where a Lorry heading towards Colombo from Negombo, was inspected and a stock of camouflage T shirts worn by Sri Lanka Civil Security Force personnel, were discovered. The driver of the lorry was unable to provide information regarding the transportation of items during the inquiry. Further the driver was not in possession of his national identity card or a valid driver’s licence at the time, hence was arrested.
The suspect, aged 23 resident of Kudaluoya, was handed over to Wattala police along with the stock of uniforms and lorry, for further investigations.
