Navy apprehends a 02 persons engaged in fishing at Kandy lake in front of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic

Navy apprehended 02 persons who were engaged in fishing illegally at the Kandy lake in front of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, on 01^st December 2019.

The 02 persons were apprehended along with 15kg of fish, during a search patrol carried out on Kandy lake by Naval personnel attached to the Western Naval Command. The suspects were identified as residents of Mailapitiya and Katugasthota areas in Kandy.

The suspects and the amount of fish were handed over to the Maligawa Police for onward action.
