Navy renders assistance to repair sluice gate of Kande-ela Reservoir in Ambewela

The Navy rendered assistance to repair a hole in the sluice gate of Kande-ela Reservoir in Ambewela 27^th November 2019.

Bring notified of water gushing out from an opening (approximately 1 ft. and 4 in.) of the sluice gate of Kande-ela Reservoir, 18 ft. below the water level, a team of Navy divers rushed to the location, as the opening was at the risk of getting further bigger. After three days of strenuous effort, the Navy divers were able to repair the sluice gate.
