Commanding Officer of Russian Navy ship ‘Perekop’ meets Commander Southern Naval Area

A delegation headed by Commander Roman Pakhomov, Commanding Officer of the Russian Navy ship ‘Perekop’ visited the Southern Naval Command today (20th November 2019).

The delegation members were warmly received to the Southern Naval Command where they met Commander Southern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Kassapa Paul. Subsequent discussions focused on several matters of bilateral importance and mementoes were also exchanged to mark the importance of this occasion.

Defence Attaché of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Sri Lanka, Colonel Denis I. Shkoda and officers attached to the Captain Operations Department (South) were also present on this occasion.

The Russian Navy training ship ‘Perekop’ arrived at the port of Hambantota on a goodwill visit yesterday.
