Commander of the Navy calls on HE the President

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva called on the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces His Excellency Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo, today (19^th November 2019).

This was the first official meeting of the Commander of the Navy after His Excellency the President assuming the duties as the head of the state. The Navy Commander conveyed his best wishes to His Excellency the President for becoming the 7^th Executive President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and they had a cordial discussion thereafter.

Further, signifying the importance of this occasion, Commander of the Navy presented a memento to His Excellency the President.
