Navy hands over CG410 to Coast Guard after major refit

Sri Lanka Navy handed over CG410 to the Sri Lanka Coast Guard during a brief function organized along with the launching of craft at the dockyard slipway, Trincomalee on 17^th November 2019.

Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Merril Wickramasinghe graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Major work of the project scope included; removal of entire thick paint coating, re-plating damaged and dented hull area, overhauling engines, installation of new radar, installation of new GPS, etc.

Notably, the craft underwent a major refit after 30 years since acquisition from, Israel in 1988.
