Navy conducts a planting programme of Coconut saplings

150 coconut saplings which were provided by Coconut Cultivation Board, Vauniya, were planted at the SLNS ‘Barana’ premises in Northwestern Naval Command, today (18 November 2019).

Commander Northwestern Naval Area Rear Admiral Ruwn Perera, Heads of Departments and large number of naval personal participated in this event.

Further, SL Navy has launched replanting and various other environment friendly projects at the Naval bases around the island.
