Navy apprehends a person engaged in fishing at Kandy lake in front of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic

Navy apprehended a person who engaged in fishing illegally at the Kandy lake, on 17^th November 2019.

Accordingly, this person who was engaging in fishing using a angle at the Kandy lake in front of the scared Shrine of Tooth Relic ( Dalada Maligawa), was apprehended during a patrol carried out in Kandy Lake by Western Naval Command. Two angles and 8kg of fish caught by him were also taken into Naval custody. The suspect is a resident of Bahirawakanda area in Kandy.

The suspect, two angles and fish catch were handed over to the Maligawa Police for onward action.
