Navy nabs five persons with drugs

The Navy, during a search conducted in Periyakarsal, Mannar, apprehended 05 persons for possessing 335mg of heroin and 2910mg of Kerala cannabis on 06^th November 2019.

The North Central Naval Command has examined 05 suspicious persons during a search carried out in Periyakarsal, Mannar and found heroin and Kerala cannabis in their possession. Subsequently, the suspects were taken into naval custody. They have been identified as residents of Mannar, Talaimannar, Pesalei and Kalpitiya areas, from 26 to 39 years of age.

The suspects along with seized drugs were handed over to the Mannar Police for onward investigation.
