Navy apprehends 05 suspects with 06kg of Kerala cannabis

The Navy, during a search carried out at Palaviya in Puttalam, apprehended 05 suspects with 06kg of Kerala cannabis on 04^th November 2019.

The Northwestern Naval Command, during a raid carried out at Palaviya in Puttalam, has searched a suspected group of people and found this stock of cannabis in their possession. Subsequently, the stock of Kerala cannabis which was made ready to be sold by the suspects was taken into naval custody.

The suspects have been identified as residents of Palaviya, Kandana and Kandy, aged 23, 30, 35 and 38. Among the apprehended persons was also a woman. The suspects along with cannabis were handed over to the Puttalam Police for onward investigation.
