SLNS ‘Mahanaga’ celebrates 06th anniversary
The 06th anniversary of Sri Lanka Navy Ship (SLNS) ‘Mahanaga’ was celebrated on a grand note today (28th October 2019).
The anniversary celebrations were organized by the crew of the establishment under the directives of its Commanding Officer, Commander (NP) Udaya Kumara. Meanwhile, friendly cricket and volleyball tournaments had been organized as well. The inspection of divisions was presided over by the Commanding Officer, giving prominence to rich naval traditions and it was followed by the Commanding Officer’s address to the crew.
With the customary meal partaking of ‘Barakana’ attended by Commander Southeastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Noel Kalubowila, Heads of Departments and officers and sailors attached to the establishment, the anniversary celebrations concluded.
