The Navy built pre school at Punkuduthivu Island Declared open

The newly constructed ‘Pre School’ with the labour provided by SL Navy at Punkuduthivu Island was declared open by Assistant Divisional Secretary of Velanai S Rajeevan on 22^nd October 2019.

The Pre School was constructed as a part of reconciliation projects undertaken by the Northern Naval Command, with the supervision of Commander Northern Naval Area Rear Admiral Kapila Samaraweera under the directives of Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva. Navy’s assistance in construction was highly appreciated and their gratitude was expressed by the Assistant Divisional Secretary and the people in the area for Navy Commander and the whole Navy.

The officers and sailors of SLNS Gotaimbara, officials of Divisional Secretariat of Velanai and general public in the area were also present at this occasion.
