Three (03) persons with 221.8kg of KG apprehended by Navy

Navy in coordination with Sri Lanka Coast Guard apprehended 03 persons with 221.8kg of Kerala Cannabis, during a patrol carried out at Weththalakerni area, Jaffna in the dawn today (19^th October 2019).

Accordingly, two suspicious persons on a dinghy had been observed during a patrol carried out by Northern Naval Command in coordination with Sri Lanka Coast Guard, at Weththalakerni beach area. By further searching this stock of KG which was packed in six sacks as 89 parcels were recovered and the suspects with the dinghy were apprehended.

The suspects along with the stock of KG are due to be handed over to Kankasanthurai Police for onward actions.
