Navy recovers few mines abandoned at Humanitarian Operation

Navy recovered few mines abandoned at the Humanitarian Operation, during a search conducted at Mamune area in Championpattu, on 18^th October 2019.

During a search carried out by Northern Naval Command, the troops managed to find one No. of 14mm Arul Grenade, one No. of 81mm Mortar Grenade, one No. of 152mm Arti Shell and two Nos. of Bangalore Torpedo and all of them were on corroded condition.

The recovered items are believed to be abandoned during the Humanitarian Operation and those are kept safely in Naval custody.
