Navy assists to apprehend a drug trafficker

Navy apprehended a drug trafficker with 02kg of Kerala Cannabis during a raid carried out in coordination with Police STF, at Pulmudai area in Trincomalee, on 18^th October 2019.

Accordingly, during a raid carried out at Pulmudai area in Trincomalee by Eastern Naval Command in coordination with Police STF, a suspicious motor bike had been observed and by further search this amount of KG was found in possession of the bike rider. The suspect had been identified as a resident of Pulmudai and a drug dealer in the area aged 63.

The recovered amount of KG, the suspect and the motor bike were handed over to Pulmudai Police for further investigation.
