Navy holds three persons with illegally kept sea cucumber

Navy held three persons with 55 sea cucumbers at Southbar area in Mannar this morning (12^th October 2019).

During a patrol carried out by the North Central Naval Command, this sea cucumber which had been collected without a permit, were apprehended. A dinghy, an OBM and 05 Oxygen cylinders were also taken into Naval custody.

The suspects are residents of Mannar area aged 25, 27 and 28.The seized sea cucumber, dinghy, OBM, Oxygen cylinders and other fishing gears were handed over to the Office of the Fisheries Inspector in Mannar for onward investigation.
