Navy assists to apprehend 02 persons attempting to sell Valampuri conch shells

Navy in coordination with the Police nabbed 02 persons with 06 Valampuri conch shells, during a raid conducted at Nintavur area in Kalmunai on 10^th October 2019.

Accordingly, these Valampuri conch shells which were made ready to sell, were recovered at Nintavur area in Kalmunai during a raid carried out by Southeastern Naval Command in coordination with ASP Office Kalmunai. Five (05) Nos of ‘Gauri’ Valampuri weighing 6.120kg and one ‘Luxmi’Valampuri weighing 625g were recovered there.

The suspects were apprehended while the Valampuri conch shells were made ready to sell, and they are residents of the same area aged 43 and 52. ASP Office in Kalmunai conducts further investigation on the suspects and Valampuri conch shells.
