Navy assists to apprehend a person with heroin

Sri Lanka Navy held a person with heroin in Ragama area on 10^th October 2019.

Accordingly, a suspicious three wheeler which was headed to Ragama from Kadawatha had been observed during a raid carried out by the Western Naval Command in coordination with Organized Crime Branch of Police STF. By further search the three wheeler 1g and 200mg of heroin was found in possession of the owner. Further, few uniforms used by the Army personnel were also recovered.

The apprehended suspect who was a resident of Ragama area aged 28, the amount of heroin and the Army uniforms were handed over to Ragama Police for further investigation.
