Navy holds three suspicious persons at Hambanthota harbour premises

Navy apprehended 03 suspicious persons who were collecting iron at the highway entrance of the Hambanthota harbour premises on 8^th October 2019.

Three (03) suspicious persons who were travelling in a three wheeler along the highway entrance of the Hambanthota harbour premises had been observed by the Southern Naval Command and by inquiring them it was revealed that they were collecting iron in highway entrance. Accordingly, the suspects were apprehended by the Navy.

The three wheeler and 200kg of collected iron were also taken into Naval custody. The suspects were identified as the residents of Ambalanthota area aged 26 to 36 and they along with the three wheeler and stock of iron were handed over to Hambanthota Police for further investigation.
