Two suspects apprehended with unauthorized fishing nets

The Navy in coordination with the Police and Muthur Fisheries Inspector nabbed 02 suspects with 09 unauthorized fishing nets in Thopoor, Trincomalee on 08^th October 2019.

The Eastern Naval Command with the assistance of the Muthur Police and Fisheries Inspector conducted a joint raid in Thopoor area and found these unauthorized fishing nets on sale at a retail store. The 02 suspects engaged in the business were subsequently apprehended and they have been identified as residents of the same area, aged 39 and 43.

Menwhile, the Muthur Fisheries Inspector is conducting further investigation into the incident.
