Navy renders assistance to douse fire at three-storeyed house in Galle

The Navy in coordination with the Fire Brigade Galle managed to control a fire erupted at a three-storeyed house located next to the Kajuwatta Viharaya in Devata, Galle on 04^th October 2019.

Accordingly, the Southern Naval Command with the assistance of the Fire Brigade Galle responded to this eventuality triggered by a gas leakage, upon receipt of a distress call of a fire from the Disaster Management Centre in Galle. A firefighting team attached to the Southern Naval Command was promptly dispatched to the location and they partnered with the Fire Brigade Galle to extinguish the blaze.
