Navy apprehends a person engaged in fishing at Kandy lake

Navy apprehended a person who engaged in fishing at the Kandy lake, in the early morning today (3^rd October ).

Accordingly, this person who was engaging in fishing at the Kandy lake in front of the scared Shrine of Tooth Relic ( Dalada Maligawa), was apprehended during a patrol carried out by Western Naval Command. Two fishing nets and a tube used by him were also taken into Naval custody.

The suspect, nets and tube were handed over to the Maligawa Police for onward action.
