Navy recovers body of person drowned in Kehelgamu Oya

During a diving operation, the Navy recovered a body of a person drowned in Kehelgamu Oya in Bogawanthalawa today (02^nd October).

Accordingly, a team of Navy divers attached to the Western Naval Command recovered the body of 53 year-old male in the area, who died after being drowned in Kehelgamu Oya. The body of the man has been recovered about 03km away from the place where he is believed to have drowned. The deceased was handed over to the Bogawanthalawa Police for onward investigation.
