Inter Command Combat Competition held at SLNS Shiksha

Inter Command Combat Competition (ICCC) was designed to impart required knowledge related to Land Warfare and the 12th OJT and 10th SOP Inter Command Combat Competition was held from 03rd to 12th September 2019 at SLNS Shiksha.

The Competition was organized under three phases and in several steps for each OJT and SOP streams. Under the OJT stream, Southern and Western Commands secured the championship and runner up positions while in SOP stream Northern and Western command secured those positions respectively.

The closing ceremony and distribution of awards was held on 12th September 2019 in a grand note with the gracious participation of Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, the Commander of the Navy as the Chief Guest. The Commandant Naval Infantry Rear Admiral Fred Senevirathne, Commander North Central Naval Command Rear Admiral Sudath Kurukulasuriya and many officers representing Naval Headquarters and all the 7 Naval Commands participated in the closing ceremony.

The spectators were highly delighted by the firing performances of the marksmen of all the Commands.Demonstration exercise on the VIP protection squad by instructors attached to Combat Training School of SLNS Shiksha and Military Operation in Urban Terrain (MOUT) exercise with mechanized assault conducted by the Marine troops of Sri Lanka Navy was highly commended by chief guest and spectators.
