SLNS ‘Rangalla’ celebrates its 52nd anniversary in a grand note

SLNS ‘Rangalla’ in the Western Naval Command proudly celebrated its 52^nd anniversary on 09^th September 2019.

The anniversary celebrations had been organized on a grand note by the ship’s complement giving preference to the religious rituals under the guidance of its Commanding Officer, Captain Mahendra Weerarathna.

Accordingly, the Commanding Officer made inspection of divisions in accordance with naval traditions on 08th September and addressed the crew.

The anniversary celebrations included the customary meal partaking of ‘Barakana’ with the participation of all officers and sailors. A colourful musical show held in the evening on 8th September concluded the 52nd anniversary celebrations.
