Commandant’s Cup Sailing Regatta commences at Trincomalee

The Commandant’s Cup Sailing Regatta, organized for the 2nd consecutive year by the Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA), commenced at Commander Shanthi Bahar memorial sailing club premises in the waters off Sandy Bay, Trincomalee on 4^th September 2019.

Academics of Bangladesh and Indian Naval Academies, officer under trainees of Sri Lanka Army Sri Lanka Air Force and NMA are participating in this regatta at picturesque Sandy Bay beach area. The event is scheduled to be terminated on 8^th September.

Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Meril Wickramasinghe , Commandant Naval and Maritime Academy Commodore Kalana Jinadasa, senior officers and a number of officers and sailors were also present on this occasion.
