Two persons held with 250g of Kerala cannabis

The Navy with the assistance of Police Special Task Force (STF) in Gonnoruwa apprehended 02 persons with 250g of Kerala cannabis in Mirijjawila, Hambantota on 03^rd September 2019.

While conducting a combined search in Mirijjawila area by the Southern Naval Command and the Gonnoruwa Police STF, two suspicious persons riding a motorbike were intercepted. During further search, the stock of cannabis being transferred by the suspects was recovered.

The two suspects are residents of the same area, aged 19 and 26. The suspects along with the motorbike and Kerala cannabis were handed over to the Hambantota Police for onward legal action.
