Navy recovers 2.16kg of Kerala Cannabis in a three wheeler

2.61kg of Kerala Cannabis were recovered during a raid carried out by Navy in coordination with Police Narcotics Bureau, at Kareinagar area in Jaffna on 3^rd September 2019.

Accordingly, a suspicious three wheeler which was travelling along a road in Kareinagar area had been observed during a raid carried out by Northern Naval Command in coordination with Police Narcotics Bureau-Jaffna, and this amount of KG was recovered by further search of the three wheeler.

It is suspected that the KG was transporting and due to the Naval raid the suspects had escaped. The abandoned three wheeler along with the seized amount of KG were handed over to Kayts Police for further investigation.
