A person held by Navy with 1.460kg of KG

A person with 1.460kg of Kerala Cannabis was held by Navy during a raid carried out in coordination with Police STF, at Uppukulam area in Mulativu, in the early morning today (22^nd August 2019).

Eastern Naval Command in coordination with Police STF-Uppukulam had observed a suspicious vehicle parked on a roadside. Accordingly, by searching a parcel inside the vehicle, this amount of KG was recovered.

It is suspected that the smugglers have escaped abandoning the haul of KG due to the combined operation of SL Navy and Police STF. The recovered haul of KG was handed over to Police STF-Mulativu for further investigation.
