Two persons with 16kg and 5g of KG apprehended by Navy

Navy apprehended two persons with 16.005kg of Kerala Cannabis during a raid carried out in coordination with Police Narcotics Bureau, at Pungudutivu area in Jaffna on 20^th August 2019.

This haul of KG which was packed in eight parcels and hidden in a shrubby area was recovered during a raid carried out by Northern Naval Command in coordination with Police Narcotics Bureau-Jaffna, at Pungudutivu area. Accordingly, two suspects along with the cab they travelled were taken into naval custody.

The suspects are residents of Mannar and Vauniya areas aged 29 and 42. They along with the seized haul of KG and the cab were handed over to Kayts Police for further investigation.
