Another sick fisherman brought ashore by Navy for treatment

SL Navy assisted to bring a sick fisherman ashore for treatment, today (15 August).

Reacting to a message given by Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources about a patient onboard the multiday trawler “Geethanjalee 01” which has left Beruwala fisheries harbour on 6^th August 2019 , Sri Lanka Navy swiftly dispatched a Fast Attack Craft.

Accordingly, the naval personnel reached the trawler in the seas 10 nautical miles off Galle lighthouse. The safely taken patient onboard the FAC, was provided first aid and transferred him to the Galle harbour. Thereafter, the patient was rushed to the Teaching Hospital-Karapitiya for medical treatment.
