Navy holds a person with 8.7kg of Kerala Cannabis

Navy in coordination with Police Narcotics Bureau apprehended a person with 8.7kg of Kerala Cannabis during a foot patrol carried out at Muruthankerni area in Jaffna in the early morning, today (15^th August 2019).

A suspicious person who was travelling on a motor bike was searched in a patrol carried out by Northern Naval Command in coordination with Police Narcotics Bureau-Jaffna, at Muruthankerni area and found this haul of KG in his possession. Accordingly, the person was taken into naval custody.

The suspect is a resident of a Thalaiadi area aged 36 and he along with the seized haul of KG and motor bike were handed over to Palali Police for further investigation.
