Navy apprehends 3 persons with KG

SL Navy recovered 83.9kg of Kerala Cannabis at Keeramale beach area in Jaffna, on 12^th August 2019.

Accordingly, some suspicious parcels had been observed during a raid carried out by Northern Naval Command at Keeramale beach area in Jaffna. By further search 3 suspects were also apprehended with these parcels contained 83.9kg of KG.

The recovered haul of KG along with the 3 suspects were handed over to Narcotics Bureau of Jaffna Police for onward actions.

Under the directives of Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, Navy continues with its raids for illegal drug traffickers reinforcing the national effort of eradicating the drug menace from the country
