Navy renders assistance to nab a person with Kerala cannabis

Naval personnel in coordination with the officials of Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) nabbed a person with 10.4kg of Kerala cannabis at Maradankeni area in Veththilakerni, Jaffna today (04^th August).

Accordingly, naval personnel attached to the Northern Naval Command combined with officials of the PNB in Jaffna have searched a suspected bike and managed to find this stock of Kerala cannabis packed in 05 parcels.

The suspect who was on the motor bike has been identified as a resident of Palai area, age 38. The apprehended suspect together with the bike and Kerala cannabis were handed over to the Palai Police for onward investigation.
