Navy conducts a cleaning campaign at Cashurina beach in Karainagar

Another beach cleaning programme in Northern Naval area, was conducted today (4^th August), under the directives of Commander Northern Naval Area Rear Admiral Kapila Samaraweera.

Accordingly, naval personnel attached to SLNS Elara conducted a beach cleaning programme at Cashurina beach in Karainagar island, Jaffna, today. Deputy Area Commander Commodore Bandula Senarathna, officials of Maritime Conservation Authority, residents of surrounded villages and large number of sailors participated in this worthy drive.

Meanwhile, naval personnel conduct a number of environment conservation programmes in every Naval Command and the Navy in particular takes much interest in maintaining a clean coastal belt around the island.
