Navy renders assistance to nab 02 persons with Kerala cannabis

Naval personnel in coordination with the officials of Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) nabbed 02 persons with 20.120kg of Kerala cannabis in Kudawa area, Kalpitiya today (1^st August).

Accordingly, naval personnel attached to the Northwestern Naval Command combined with officials of the PNB in Puttalam have intercepted a suspected cab and managed to find this stock of Kerala cannabis packed in 10 parcels, when it was searched.

The suspects who were in the vehicle have been identified as residents of Puttalam and Kalpitiya areas, aged 40 and 42. The apprehended suspects together with the cab and Kerala cannabis were handed over in the Kalpitiya Police for onward investigation.
