Naval personnel clean beaches in Southern Naval Command

Naval personnel attached to the Southern Naval Command took part in a worthy drive to clean-up beaches in the Southern Naval Command, today (27^th July 2019).

Accordingly, naval personnel of SLNS Dakshina, SLNS Nipuna and SLNS Ruhuna belonging to the Southern Naval command conducted cleaning programmes along the beaches of Habaraduwa, Gintota and Tangalle. These beaches which were polluted due to numerous human activities and natural causes, were brought back to neat and tidy places by the effort of navy.

Meanwhile, naval personnel conduct a number of environmental conservation programmes in every Naval Command and carry out weekly programmes to clean beaches located adjacent to naval bases.
