Commander Nimantha Tissera takes over command of SLNS Wickrama II

Commander (G) Nimantha Tissera took over the duties as the new Commanding Officer of the Fast Gun Boat (FGB) SLNS Wickrama II on 17^th July 2019.

The former Commanding Officer, Commander (G) Hemantha Ranasingha officially handed over the duties to his predecessor at No. 1 Pier of SLNS Uthtara in Kankasanthurai. Commanding Officer SLNS Uththara Captain (ASW) HIA Gunawardana was also present on the occasion representing Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet. The proceedings of the formal ceremony came to a close following an inspection of divisions by the new Commanding Officer.
